Grootfontein features eight villas spaced closely to each other, offering stunning views of the river complemented by green lawns. The campsite includes a centrally located boma, providing a perfect gathering space for group bookings and an ideal setting for memorable outdoor experiences.
Biesievlak, Grootfontein and Golden Valley campsites border each other all in walking distance. It works well for group bookings.
The villa consists of:
Wood fired Hot Tub. Wood can be purchased on site.
Free standing braai with grid and utensils.
Basic kitchenette with fridge, 2 plate stove, kettle, toaster.

From take the N1 direction Paarl. Take the N7 turnoff (left) toward Malmesbury. Continue on the N7 for 175km. Take the turn-off right from the N7 highway towards Citrusdal. When you enter Citrusdal, stop at the first stop street and then turn right on Keerom rd and carry on driving for 20km. You will see the entrance to the Grootfontein Campsite as it is a big white sign on the right hand side of the road. Turn right there and drive straight down to river where you will find the campsites.
